(That 1,500 year stretch for the Roman Empire isn’t too shabby, either.) But it all puts our little quarter century it into perspective, doesn’t it? We really are living the American experiment. I’ve been pulling these roundups together for 6 years and can firmly say that this is the biggest July 4th discounting push I’ve ever seen. I’ve called out some of the extraordinary deals below – so many offers are better than Memorial Day, with lots of great deals in the 70% off range. Aerie: Celebrate with 30-50% off site-wide. I’d highly recommend the PJ section for lightweight, pulled-together picks that won’t break the bank.

Alex Mill: It’s a big one: tons of styles are up to 50% off! (Alex Mill rarely holds sales, so this is a big deal.) I love this sweet linen midi skirt, this charming seaside top (the collar!), and these pull-on linen pants.

American Eagle: Enjoy 30-50% off site-wide. Em recently replaced her entire underwear drawer with these thongs and these briefs. (She recommends sizing up for ultimate comfort.) I’m pretty impressed by the tops, too – this one is channeling Doen for only $34.

Anthropologie: Snag an extra 50% off sale styles. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Start with the dress section – they’re the fastest to sell out.

Athleta: Save up to 60% off, plus an additional 20% off select styles. (This one blows their Memorial Day sale out of the water.) Consider these sub-$50, 100% linen pants with nearly-unanimous 5-star reviews. I really like the shorts version, too!

Boden: Stock up with up to 60% off site-wide, plus an extra 15% off with code 3TV3. I think this might be the perfect summer long sleeve blouse – what say you?

Cakes: Take up to 20% off bundles – we’d recommend the summer starter kit collection with 5 bestsellers. The team swears by Cakes – they offer the perfect amount of coverage for those outfits that just don’t work with a standard bra.

Gap: It’s the summer sale! Take 50% off shorts, tees, swim, and more. I’ve been really into the Gap revival over the past few years and am loving this precious shift dress with a scalloped eyelet hem – SO CUTE!!!

J. Crew: Celebrate by taking an extra 60% off sale styles with code SUMMER. This $34 terry sweatshirt with a classic boatneck and sailor stripe has me yearning for a clam bake or crab boil on the beach.

Madewell: Save 25% on dresses, shorts and shoes with code LONGWEEKEND. You’ll never go wrong with the pull-on shorts -Arlyn introduced me about 7 years ago when we shot this post and I never looked back.

Target: Score up to 40% off select clothing, swimwear, sandals, and more. This sub-$25 red and white maxi dress says “festive” without screaming “this is a 4th of July dress!!!” These are my favorite t-shirts, too (unless they’re dethroned by my Faherty purchase – time will tell!).
