Yes, every single holiday is a sale, basically. Retailers know that many shoppers are off of work and might be shopping either in store or online. Also, with all that is happening in the world, many people will just not buy something they want anymore until it is on sale. Retailers therefore offer more sales to encourage that. It has gotten to the point where I know literally everything I want will be on sale just a few weeks away, so I always bookmark it and wait for a sale. No need to pay full price anymore, honestly.

Yes with the exception of a few stores (like Room&Board) where things are never on sale. It can be exhausting, first seaeching for items, deciding, waiting for the sale when one is trying to furnish a lot. It’s a game. I don’t want to buy full price when I know things will be 20% off soon. I have quite a lot of rooms to finish, and started to think that my time and emotions are not worth waiting on sales. I really hate the sales model, and I’d prefer things to be priced based on its true value. I don’t want to spend my time shopping.

I know this is completely off-topic (maybe not, since it’s about buying more products!), but I feel compelled to share this important information: Tonight, I watched a documentary about kids 5 and under … DYING FROM SWALLOWING BUTTON BATTERIES!!! 😳 😳 😳 I didn’t know anything about this. One little girl who died didn’t have a single battery anywhere in her home or anywhere else… except she’d been to a playground! Two women who lost their precious children, joined together to change the laws in Australia, about placement of these producrs up high away from little kids’ reach; change the packaging so there aren’t blister serations on the back of packaging … and … tge actual toys and oyher products that use these batteries. Currently, many of the toys and gizmos come out of China (think toys with flashing lights), but other manufacturing nations too and the battery covers easily fall off and/or, are simply clip-in covers. The laws need to be so that these products have a SCREW to hold the cover shut tight. The kids see the nice, round, little battery, pop it in their mouth and swallow – perfectly mouth-sized!
