I just wanted to quickly say happy holidays to all of you who celebrate in any way and thank you so, so much for being here this year (or even just today). I know that not everyone experiences the holidays the same way (this time of year can be so hard for many people). So wherever you are, however you are feeling, I hope you can give yourself some time, grace, and space to be with those you love and who make you feel good. The EHD team office will be closed for the full two weeks, and I’m just so relieved and grateful to be here with my family in the post-holiday scramble quiet. It’s the best week, between Christmas and New Year’s, when a lot of the world shuts down, and you hear a collective societal sigh. I hope you get offline, out in some sort of nature (or whatever version of “quiet” that is for you) and spend time with people who fill you up. We are headed to Big Sky, just the four of us, to ski on what is meant to be the easiest mountain for beginners (me!), so wish me luck. I’m still learning (and it’s not going that well), but I am also bringing many books to read and have booked a massage, just in case I have to bail mid-day. Regardless, it’s nice to be in nature, moving my body with my kids (even if my nervous system is perhaps overwhelmed with fear of say, dying or hurting someone else). Learning to ski at 46 is not for the faint of heart!!

Of course, we’ll have a few fun end-of-year posts over the next week, should you want to connect or be entertained:) But mostly I’ll be with these people, and a few pets (and possibly a new kitten or two!), squeezing every moment of comfort out of this year. Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and thank you so much for being here. My family and my team value every second we get to do this, and are grateful for every one of you who spends time here. xx
