5 Perfect Spring Sweaters (On Heavy Rotation)

Trying to find sweaters that can easily be layered over with a jacket, that add warmth without bulk, is one of my main goals in life. I don’t want anything too fitted, but don’t always want the volume of a big fleece or fishermans sweater. So I went shopping, chose a few that were recommended to me, and tried on many others. Here are 4 that I love and now own (with one at the end that I really liked but didn’t keep – you tell me).

Necklace | Sweater | Pants | Belt | Shoes

These pants are incredible. They are a light-weight linen blend and so drapey, but somehow with so much structure due to how they stitched them to be barrel. They are super flowy and easily dressed up or down (I show you both). My only warning is that the waistline is pretty fitted with no stretch (which isn’t my favorite because I’m obsessed with comfort), and it’s still not a pair I’ll wear when I feel bloated or if I’m going to sit down all day, but they are so flattering that I’ll accept the more fitted waist this time. I’m wearing a 4 here, btw.

This thin knit sweater is getting so much play over here. It’s not super exciting looking, I know, but the cut is so flattering since it drapes without hugging and the V-neck is revealing without being too deep. It’s a tad fitted in the arms, but then gives some nice room, then comes in at the waist, but again, doesn’t hug or squeeze, just lands softly with a wide waistband. Don’t sleep on Aritzia, y’all. I’ve found a lot of their pieces to be super high quality but not crazy expensive. This is a new staple of mine. Belt is from there, too, and is by far my favorite. Mules are Kelsi Dagger and absolutely fantastic.

Ha. Here they are again. Oh, these mules are rad, BTW. I love the pointy toe. I wish I had ordered them in burgundy, too, but I don’t need three pairs of the same shoe (I bought them in nude as well and already wore them outside the house – they lengthen that leg perfectly if you are into that). I love this caramel color, too, though. They are comfy and just so easy to wear without looking like you are wearing fancy heels. The cashmere striped sweater is from Madewell and is a great layering piece under a jacket – no bulk, just softness.

Scarf | Rollneck Sweater | Jeans | Belt | Shoes | Bag

The viral roll-neck sweater from Free People comes in a million colors and is so good. It’s just thick enough to keep you warm in spring, but not bulky and still easy to layer over. It’s casual but looks really high quality. Jess has it too and loves it. The pants are my new barrel from J.Crew (that I reviewed last week in my spring jean post). I LOVE those red flats (perfect tone, not too bright red but still pop). I’ve had that canvas bag for a while and use it every day because it’s big enough for a laptop.

J.Crew’s rollneck is also good (and comes in cableknits, too). I’m wearing an XS, so size down if you don’t want it to be oversized. I love the small stripe, cream, and black, and it just feels like something so easy to throw on but not boring.

UGH. You can barely see those mules, but they are new and so cute and EXTREMELY comfortable. I don’t want to tell you the amount of mules I tried on to find the comfiest ones. If you are in between sizes, size up; they run a tiny bit small.

We all agreed that this sweater was incredibly cute and worth showing off, but be warned that it is a bit long. It’s really nicely made and felt high-quality, but since the hem is thicker, it’s not an easy tuck, so I returned it since I had the other two that I love that fit me better. But if you like a nice oversized and long sweater, stylistically, I love this one. Those are the famous Bella jeans from Quince 🙂

Spring sweaters this next and more transitional spring outfit inspo for next! Have a great rest of your Saturday. xx
