Happy Sunday! Fall may not be officially here till the end of the month, but to us, September is fall:) So happy fall too! Oh, this is also when all of our birthdays really start rolling out. Marlee’s birthday was last week, Emily just had hers on Tuesday, and Gretchen’s is next week. We’re a company that’s full of exclusively Virgos and Libras. It was an accident…we think:) Ok, let’s talk links.

Jess here! This week’s home tour is a little different! Not only did I get to spend A WEEK with our dear Arlyn and her family at her new home in Raleigh, NC, but we also got to have dinner with Ajai, who also moved here about a year ago. It was wonderful as expected, but a pretty exciting piece of news was that Ajai’s new rental in NC was featured on HGTV Home Tours! She’s just so endlessly talented, and you have to see what she’s done on a budget in her newest space (and with a second little baby in tow:)).

From Emily: One of my best friends gifted me this epic sweater from The Great, and I will cherish it forever. It’s absolutely my new fall favorite sweater; I’ve already worn it every day (and it’s a splurge, so if you are into it, it can officially be your annual fall sweater forever). But I’m actually here to shout about the mules from Steve Madden but look way more expensive. I wear them as house shoes (and with this week’s Oregon rain I didn’t go outside with them), and they look so cute with socks and shorts, too. BTW. The new jeans are Mother (sorry) and are mid-rise, more rigid, and the perfect darker wash for fall (with perfect fading). Also, Brian says my butt looks good in them, and I know that credit goes to the jeans, not my butt (I still took the compliment and didn’t correct him, of course, but I’m just being real with you guys). If you are looking for another more fitted in the butt, lower/mid rise, but not Mother price point, these Levi’s are fantastic, and $75.

From Mallory: A few years ago my mom bought me this incredible robe as a gift, and I’m thrilled to report after years of using it…IT STILL FEELS BRAND NEW. It’s thick with an amazing terry inside, but the outside is the coziest waffle feel, so you don’t have to choose between the terry and waffle robe. It also has a hood, which I love because I don’t have to pop a towel on my head when I get out of the shower. It’s genuinely so amazing, and it’s 40% off this weekend for Labor Day!! Snag it while it’s on this amazing deal – I have it in white, but the other colors are cute too!

From Marlee: I want to give a shoutout to a food creator I love, Kristen of @itsnormalfood. Her videos are reminiscent of the Food Network – in a digital world of the most overstimulating, fast-paced videos that are made to keep you hooked, her videos are an instant wave of calm and chill. She has the most grounding on-camera presence, and watching her really feels like you’re hanging out with your super patient, supportive friend while they teach you how to cook. I always feel like I learn something after watching her videos – I just saw this week that she announced she’s leaving her law job to work on content creation/recipe development/etc. full-time and I REALLY WANT HER TO SUCCEED! So go give her a follow, and when her cookbook comes out one day (manifesting this for her), let’s all buy it:) You can check out her website with recipes here!

From Arlyn: For anyone who has followed my move to North Carolina, you might remember that I found a cute little vintage desk on Craigslist for my home office. (I wrote about that here briefly.) It was a very sweet piece, but ergonomically, it didn’t work for me. I injured my neck/shoulder around Memorial Day, and my physical therapist urged me to get a better setup for my workstation. Because of my short stature, finding a desk and chair combination that fit my body was tricky, and the easiest and most flexible solution was a standing desk. My PT also liked that option so that I could get up regularly during the day to help my (absolutely atrocious) posture. I didn’t want anything overly techy-looking, but also wasn’t after something high-design. I needed a large surface to house my laptop, external monitor, some pretty things, and my standard stack of papers I haven’t gotten around to shredding. I’d been eyeing the Branch Four Leg Standing Desk for literal years. I like that it looks kind of like a table. The rising and lowering mechanism is SUPER smooth; it has three configurable presets; and it is very sturdy. From Gretchen: The Gap bug going around has bitten me bad, but the side effects? Looking cute, feeling comfy, and keeping costs down. Between my absolute-love-them-forever barrel leg overalls (which I went ahead and also bought in denim on sale) and my affinity for their soft basic tanks, my closet has been filling out to look more like a Gap storefront these days. And I’m not complaining. I find myself grabbing for these pieces all the time because they just go with everything and feel so good on my body. My latest favorite purchase from them was a sweatshirt I first saw and fell in love with when Em wore it a while back. It’s a vintage-looking zip-up hoodie. I couldn’t justify the original price tag, but when it went on sale, I grabbed it immediately. So glad I did. It has the perfect slouchy drape, and the worn-in look is excellent.

From Jess: If you are looking for a beautiful, high-quality, and unique rug, look at Jubi Rugs. I’ve loved this one for so long, but this one and this one are high on my list. These wool rugs are handmade to order, which is part of why they are so sustainable. They aren’t making products that are going to end up in a landfill because of overproduction. It’s just a company I really love. Go now if you need a rug!

From Caitlin: Fall is here (in my mind, at least), and I am FEELING IT. Our tiny beach town has emptied out (a total dream, after the last few months of packed roads that make LA traffic seem mild), our pool is being closed for the winter, and the sun is setting earlier and earlier every day. That would normally bum me out, but guys – I got Dennis this awesome paper lamp for his birthday last Sunday. We put it in our bedroom, and now, I CANNOT WAIT FOR 7 PM TO ROLL AROUND. I knew I’d like the lamp (Den actually found it, and he has great taste), but I did not know that I would LOVE the lamp. I’m always trying to capture the perfect level of light in here – warm without being too bright, dim without being dark – and this does the trick perfectly. Our bedroom at night is now my favorite place, and I’m genuinely looking forward to hunkering down in here this winter. I’m SO pleased, and a total paper shade convert – I cannot believe that one little lamp can have such an impact!!!
