Welcome to ‘Winning!’ Fridays, where i’ll be highlighting some of my favorite vendors and stores and giving away their products. I just realized how weird that is. It’s like i contact a store and say, hey ‘i like you, wanna give something away to a special random reader of mine?’ and they’re all ‘Sure’. Amazing.
Anyway, most of you know ModCloth but in case you don’t they are a great online store full of on-trend, affordable and chic fashion, shoes and home stuff (more smalls, no furniture). And as you know i do love me some vintage inspired floral fabric, so today I’m giving away a set of these beauties.
Here are the deets:
Good Luck. There is something so fun about winning something. i put my name in a drawing recently at the ikea cafeteria for a $100 gift card and they called me 2 days later saying that i won, and it was as if they announced me the new queen of England. i was all, ‘Me? really? me? I couldn’t possibly…..’ Ya just feel special. So do it. And tell your friends.
I had been searching for the perfect vintage chinoiserie (asian inspired with birds and flowers) wallpaper OR fabric for a while and the wallpaper is out of the question expensive, then the fabric is around $113 a yard at the cheapest (which i would need 14 yards…four panels..yikes). So I bought these instead. I’m going to cut off the tabs on top, drop them off at the tailor to have them lined, sewn into double panels and add a foot of corresponding solid fabric to the bottom because they are too short. All in all, each panel will end up costing $38 plus labor (40) and lining yardage (9) which is a hell of a lot cheaper than $350 plus labor and materials, per panel.
