I know Brian really well. In case you don’t know who he is, he’s my husband of 11 years (together for 17). He is the best dad in the world to our two kids (IMHO). He’s an amazing actor, a director and producer, plus he’s incredibly nice to me, and handsome AF. We really like each other and we try to be thoughtful and considerate but we aren’t big sentimental gift givers. And we are ok with that. I get my video montage of all of our iphone footage of the kids for Mothers Day (the most important holiday of the year) and that’s kinda all I need. But that doesn’t mean I don’t shop a ton for him online for Christmas. And even though I bought 1/10th of these things I figured it was worthy of a gift-guide post.
So what follows is what I love for him as a gift, both in reality and if I were allowed to spoil him. We included a product board and a gallery to accomodate all your viewing desires.

Buying from Parker Clay makes us all happy because they are such a great socially conscious company – this is so classic.
Axum Dopp Bay by Parker Clay – $68

Gift Card Bundle
This bundle is an insane deal that supports socially conscious brands that Brian and I both love. They also have a women’s version as well. Buy it before it sells out. Basically for $35 you get 5 $50 gift cards to 5 awesome retailers.

I love this retro tee and think it would be hot on my husband. That is all.

He wants his own kit for secret grooming. I get it. This is a GREAT affordable one.

Leather Briefcase
Brian asked for a good professional bag last year and this is what I got him (in brown). It’s AMAZING.
Parker Briefcase by Parker Clay – $498

Green Vest
I bought him a vest 2 years ago and was shocked how much he wore it (despite how resistant he was at the beginning). I love this one.

Hi, I just ordered the Nisolo bundled gift cards for myself and bf. I can’t wait to use them! Thanks for the rec!
oh good!
I’m a longtime reader and a UX designer and I just wanted to say, I L O V E those carousels below the gift guides!! They make reviewing/examining your amazing roundups so much easier. I’m delighted and impressed – thank you so much!!
Seconded as a fellow UX designer it makes actually ‘shopping’ your guides so much easier. Well done!
Oh good! i don’t know what UX designer is but i like you guys 🙂
As a UX/UI designer I third this 🙂 (UX = user experience, UI = user interface. So we design for digital products like websites and applications)
I ordered the gift card bundles for myself and my bf too! We aren’t going to exchange gifts this year but this seemed too good of a deal to not jump on it. I didn’t even look at the different brands offerings lol. I just clicked add to cart and done! Im sure we’ll both find things we love without spending too much additional $. Although I had hoped they were physical gift cards so we wouldn’t forget we have them.
Its an INSANE deal. we are boing to do a whole post about it. xx
I just researched all the brands and they are so pricey I wouldn’t buy them even with a $50 gift card. Just thought I’d chime in because the deal appeal is real! It’s just a little above my price range…sad face!
Love this new format! And the ideas too.
What size did you get for Brian in the Green Vest? Thanks!
large .. he hates things that are too fitted and hes kinda broad : )
SUCH a good gift guide!! Thanks for sharing and LOVE that you added prices- makes browsing so much easier! You guys are killing it!! Thanks for the daily inspiration!!!
Someone gave my husband that grooming kit from Target last year. You might not want to recommend it. It’s seriously total crap. The edges of the metal pieces were so sharp I sliced my finger open pretty badly just sliding something out of the case. And nothing else included is worth even the very nominal selling price of that kit.
This is such a cool gift guide. I always have a hard time finding the right one for my man! Totally inspirational!
So this is really random, but its one of my “Wife PSAs”, and now that I see Brian is a fan of Uniqlo i have to share with you. So my husband is semi-obsessed with Uniqlo, everything there miraculously fits him (he has really broad shoulders, and “water polo” player thighs that are so muscular and big its crazy), and the shirts are long enough that the stay tucked in when he lifts up his arms even with his super long torso… Getting to my point, if he’s been wearing those Hane’s undershirts he should REALLY try the Uniqlo Airism and Heat-tech under shirts, again my husband is super obsessed, I’ve told all my guy coworkers about them and they’ve all switched over and are now obsessed as well. Really weird, and random, but thought I’d share with you and everyone else!
Great Post !! Very interesting topic will bookmark your site to check if you write more about in the future.

Get the record player!! I got one for my boyfriend last year and it’s a hit! It’s so fun to check out record stores or the record sections in thrift and vintage stores. It’s also fun for kids! It’s prob too young for them now, but I still remember one Christmas playing with my cousin in his basement, listening to his parents’ old records for HOURS. That was easily 20 years ago and it’s still a great memory to think back on.
It can be a fun thing to do together as a family – both finding and listening! Plus it’s an ageless hobby that can be a fun way for Brian (and you of course!) to bond with his kids well into adulthood. I like it so much because it turns listening to music into more of an event than just something on in the background.
And tip for the kiddos – a couple I’m friends with (who have an epic record collection) mute the tv and play records instead when their kid (who’s 2-ish) watches her shows. The kid doesn’t seem to mind and I KNOW the parents don’t.
This is appreciable and wonderful post that you have provided for us.Great site and a great topic as well i really get amazed to read this.
