Finally friends, the moment some of you have been waiting for . . . the very first Makeover Takeover Final Reveal. It’s time to peek inside my updated childhood bedroom, so take my hand and let’s go.
Unattractive 90’s style maple cabinets are a pesky problem, like that last 5 pounds that you just cannot seem to shed. You hide it with a good top, or maybe distract from it with a new statement necklace, just as those 5 pounds can be shed without a trip to the local lipo center, so can your kitchen cabinets be saved without a total rehaul or remodel.
When I first got pregnant with Charlie I started stalking little boys clothes and here is what I found: It ain’t awesome. Definitely not as good as the girls roundup we pulled together a few weeks ago on the blog. Generally what is out there is designed to have them look like miniature frat boys – and not in a fun ‘Old School-Will Ferrell’ kind of way, more like douchey-guy-that-hazes-for-no-reason kinda way.
Progress has been made in the guest room and I’d say its 72% done. It’s certainly habitable, but since I’m trying to make every room in my house/life a portfolio piece it’s not quite there yet. Let’s recap and break it down… When we bought the house this room was a terrifying mess – totally unfinished, full of storage, with layers of carpet. It’s about 400 square feet and we knew that we wanted to utilize that space.
