The Link Up: Em’s Favorite New Tray, Womens Shorts That Don’t Ride Up and Great Running Shoes

image via architectural digest

Guess what?? We have two MORE new team members that joined our team this past Monday. We have been looking for a long time for these two and couldn’t be happier they are finally here. So please welcome Mallory who is our new blog/social media assistant and Chandler who is Emily’s new assistant. Just like Caitlin (our new brand partnership manager) they are wonderful and are clearly going to be amazing assets to our team. They are also great assets to our link up. 🙂 So let’s jump right in.

Emily has found her new favorite tray and it’s this one from Skagerak. She bought it for the mountain house and says it’s the perfect mix of modern and Scandinavian.

Velinda and her wife Katie got this kneeling pad for her dad to use when he gardens and he’s obsessed.

If you need a reminder of why blue is probably the best color ever and why moving to France is a very good idea then head to this house tour.

Grace has numerous gym shoes for different types of workouts (she works out a lot). But after many mishaps of pushing 350lb sleds at the gym (we know, she’s a beast) and having her old shoes come off mid-push, she got herself the Nike Women’s Metcon 4. She says they have been SUPER great in terms of traction, flexibility and fit so far. PS they run true to size.

Pink Sugar perfume has been Veronica’s fragrance go-to for the past 10 years (she’s not kidding, she was a freshman in high school when she discovered it) and it’s the most wonderful scent EVER. She knows it’s a little pricey, but the scent sticks all day. She gets tons of compliments on the smell almost every day. We can vouch for that.

Caitlin owns these J. Crew linen-cotton womens shorts in black and wore them for three days straight over the holiday weekend. The drawstring is awesome and she loves the inseam—they stay in place and don’t start to ride up towards your crotch when you’re walking. Total heaven. They’re on super sale right now (only $14.95!) and she is planning to scoop another pair in white.

For anyone who loves the song “Truth Hurts” by Lizzo, Ryann says this video is for you.

Both Bowser and Julie are OBSESSED with the Instagram account Laura Made It and want all her art all over every place they go.

Newcomer Mallory doesn’t wear a ton of makeup (usually just a little mascara and a swipe of Glossier Boy Brow to tame the beasts), so when it comes to her daily routine, she makes sure the two products she actually puts on are good ones. She recently stumbled into this ILIA mascara which she LOVES. It has a dual brush where one side is your standard mascara-looking brush and the other is a lash COMB. If you’re a lazy makeup wearer that’s constantly looking for ways to save time in the morning but simultaneously look like you didn’t just roll out of bed, she highly recommends.

Jess and Sara are both big fans of this linen shirt by Grayson. It’s high quality, made for a women’s body and feels great. They plan to live in it all summer with the high potential of twinning a lot. They don’t mind.

Our other newcomer, Chandler loves the Second Life podcast. We also love it, too, so we know she has good taste. But she enjoys it because she says it’s the perfect way to get motivated during your morning commute. She likes listening to the stories of women from all industries who have had inspiring career changes.

Food website Kitchn recently launched a new series Arlyn thinks she might be a bit obsessed with called “The Way We Eat.” It’s a real peek into the eating lives of very interesting people (first up was the ever powerful Jessamyn Stanley who challenges what a fitness professional should be/look like). It feels raw, uncut and speaks to her inner life voyeur.

Sara has a SUPER easy but crowd-pleasing summer recipe. It’s these marinated olives with feta from Bon Appetit’s Basically. She promises there are so easy, wildly delicious and makes you look really fancy.

Julie’s Sunday goal is to be as relaxed as this cat.

Lastly one of our favorite artists, Rebecca Atwood, is having her biggest sale ever until the 22nd. We know her products aren’t cheap but man are they worth it once you get them in your hands. However, with 50% off her bedding and 30% off her pillows (like this one that’s in Emily’s house right now), it makes it very hard to not buy that thing you’ve been eying forever.

Okay now go enjoy your Sunday, the sun and maybe even a really good book. See you tomorrow. xx

Metcon 4 is a great shoe. It is a crossfit/training shoe and not running.

Great J Crew Factory shorts! These should be snagged up while they still have a decent size run

Skagerak doesn’t appear to ship to the USA. Such a let down because their products are awesome!
