Made in Oregon, and sneak peek into styling….

Oh my goodness….how did that picture of me at age five on an Oregon Coast Beach get on my blog? So weird. Maybe its because on friday I start curating my next collection on Open Sky called ‘Made in Oregon’ (or it might be called something with ‘Portland’ in it….we are still working it out).  Everything will be, you guessed it, made in Oregon, my home state, just like me.

And we may ore may not put birds on things.  Although i certainly wouldn’t put it past me.  You’ve seen my portfolio, there are LOTS of birds on LOTS of things.

Anyway, not sure if you’ve heard of Portland, but its kinda, oh whats the word that they use, HIP?

The first thing that is on sale (already) is this really beautiful hanging tray made by Pigeon Toe Ceramics, (which is a company who makes such beautiful things that i want EVERY SINGLE THING they sell).  Check the sale out HERE

Sure, you can use it for your pretty carrots, but you could also use it in your bathroom with pretty soaps and lotions and guest towels OR do what i do and put a couple air plants in it and hang it in the corner of your bathroom or office – somewhere that needs a little life.

This is an air plant. You can get them at the flower market, or you could order them through your florist OR i know that the West Elm in Los Angeles sells them.  Basically they don’t require dirt, just, yep, AIR, and you soak them with water once a week in your sink.  SUPER low maintenance.

I think this would be an amazing gift, too.

It also comes with a dark chord if you so desire. They styled it with a succulent garden in it which is totally beautiful.  Its’ on sale right now for $67 and 100% worth it.  Click HERE to get yourself one (it’s a wholesale company so its not available online through them).

In other news, I redesigned and styled a room in my house for a shoot yesterday. It’s styled as an office even though i have another office. It’s like the guest office.  You know, totally normal. Here are some sneak peeks from Instagram. The entire post will go up next week with process shots, before and afters, etc.  But i do like to tease….

What did we do before Instagram again? (and did you hear that FACEBOOK bought Instagram for 1 BILLION dollars….insane)

Stay tuned next week for next Tuesday for the real shots. These are just the outtakes and instagramers…..

But yes, the walls have gone a deep beautiful blue….
